Rem 700 Lapua magazine?
OK so the 3.775 magazine from brownells, marked Remington on the bottom, doesn't fit the gun. It's too fat. Anyone know who made the original mags or where to get one?

I'm going to measure the one that came with the rifle. I don't think the 3.715 will fit either.

Was your 700 built originally for the Lapua round? That particular action had some pretty extensive modifications to house and feed that round as I recall. In any event, check with Wyatt Outdoors. They may have something that, with a little machine work, will work.

It's a factory Rem 700 PS 338. I heard that Rem change something along the way. Not sure if this is a "before" or "after" model.

Give Remington a call. They would know.

G'Day Fella's,

Rich J, I have Rem 700 MLR in .338 Lapua Mag and it also takes a magazine that is 3.775" long.
From what mine looks like, I assumed the trigger guard and detachable box magazine setup, was made by HS Precision?

I to was about to order a couple of the 3.775" Five shot mags from Brownell's! Thanks for the warning!!!

Doh!
