nordrseta6x45 in a Sako short action?
Anyone here know if the 6x45 - loaded with 80 gr bullets - will work in a Sako short action or is a 6mm Myra (24-222) or 25 Copperhead (25-222) a better choice?

vapodogMy 6 X 45 is in a Mini Mauser but I also have a sako L-461 and the ammo fits there with room to spare. I load the 70 grainers.
The 80 grain bullets will fit as you might have to seat deeper than I do but that's not a problem. I suspect they will work fine however.
The 6 X 45 is a superior cartridge to anything built on the 222 case IMO.
The Hodgdon hard cover book has lots of data for this cartridge.
