Kimber 84M action: How much does it weigh?
Does anyone know how much the Kimber 84M action weighs---including floorplate, action screws and trigger (but no barrel or stock). Trying to figure out my best course of action here for a mountain rifle. Kimber 84M, punched out to 7mm-08 w/ a 20" tube sounds 'bout perfect.

Punched out to 7mm-08? bewildered Why not just shorten the barrel on a factory rifle?

They already offer the 7/08 in a factory chambering. My wood stocked .308 weighs 6.75 pounds with a Leupold 2.5x8 in Warne Premier rings and bases. The Montana is about a half pound lighter.
