Dr. LouWinchester Winlite?
I just picked up a LA McMillan stock with black Winchester recoil pad. It's identical to the Winlite stock but it is inlet for two-piece bottom metal. All my Winlites had a blind magazine instead of a floor plate. Yes, I am positive that it's a McMillan stock. The only other time I have seen a Micky on a Winchester is out of the custom shop.
Just curious if some Winlites may have come with floor plates. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Lou

imhanceThe last M-70 Winlites had floor plates instead of blind magazines. I have both types. Also, 4 different variations feather weight with blind mag, feather weight with floor plate, classic type blind and classic type floor plate. Featherweights have 22" barrel's. Others had 24" all around 84 to 92 vintage don't know exactly.

imhanceAlso all long push feed actions, 25=06, 270, 280, 30-06, 300 Win Mag, 338 Win Mag and a few in 300 Weatherby Mag. McMillan stock that was used conducts heat from your hands to the rifle steel. This will, with a little snow knocked on it, cause action to freeze shut. My experience, your results may differ. Wood is not nearly as bad in this respect.
