Somewhere I have read the answer to the question as to whether G&H rings will fit a Jaeger side mount, but I can't find the reference and don't remember the answer. Can anyone enlighten me? Just looking at photographs makes me think that the Jaeger mount is farther offset to the left, but that kind of analysis is anything but precise.

I would just all G&H and ask them.

Too easy. Anyway, I have a drawer full of G&H rings and I just want to know if they're useable on a Jaeger mount.

Do you have the Jaeger mount in your posession or are you contemplating acquiring it?

The latter. If I already had one, I wouldn't have to ask.

I have bought a rifle with a Jaeger base, but no slide and rings. If I can use G&H rings, my choice of slide is greatly expanded. Most Jaeger slides which I see advertised are fitted with rings which are much higher than I would need or prefer.
