What to do with those No4 peep sight ears!

I have never had much problem getting a leash on one, just trying to break them to lead is the biggest problem.

Aah... yes! Well, this clip is hi-tech plastic (meaning it is strong and durable) and being plastic it is very quiet. It hangs off a loop on my back-pack shoulder strap so is in an ideal position for a quick and quiet disconnect while slowly lifting the rifle to shoulder. In an emergency (real or percieved) I can shoulder the rifle without unclipping it but then the cord (which is bungy cord) touches my chin, which is only a comfort thing. I don't do snap shooting anyway so that is not likely to to happen. In my hunting conditions, I need both hands to scramble and catch myself on slips and trips. The carry also allows me to control the muzzle (which hangs near vertical down) around obsticles and long grass. I can crawl on all fours with minimal effort to control the rifle parallel to the ground because it's weight is on my shoulder and the balance point hangs it at at angle down.

I used to struggle carrying my rifle in the field due to 'elbow pain-itus' plus 'wrist pain-itus' and 'fore-arm ache-itus'. Sheesh .... I'm breaking up!

The No4 worked so well, I just had to find a way to do it to my MkIII. Then I saw little hole in the side of the clip charger bridge so I opened that up to 3.2mm to take a 1/8 split pin which I shorten and bent ove on the inside, under the scope rail. That works a treat too.

With both rifles, the carry cord and ring clear the scope. The knot was to find the ideal cord length. It will be replaced with a clip. Maybe!

A smaller ring might be better. (If I can find one in SST - or just make one).

I agree, about half the size maybe? I like the idea. Would you be able to show me how it is on your pack? I usually strap mine to the side of my pack pointing strate up bolt locked and bolt handle snug into the side of my pack.

I m the kinda guy how needs eyes and hands on project until we start talking reloading when I can test my ideas
