have just bought a cz 550 in 30-06 for very little money! it has been damaged after being run over... barrel bent.
I am going rebarrell it in 25-06 or something similar.
The gun is virtually brand new so will make a reasonable second rifle, is there anyone who makes a synthetic stock for them. Would I be correct that this action is based on the K98?

McMillan make a stock for the cz normal length action it is called the AHR. CZ's are great [Cool]

It is certainly based on a 98 but it is NOT a 98. 98 stocks do not interchange. I can't comment on the action threads but any of the barrelmakers will be able to answer that question.
