Eland SlayerWinchester Model 70 bottom metal question....
I am getting ready to put my Model 70 Classic Stainless 375 H&H into a "factory take-off" stock from a Model 70 Safari Express.
The Classic Stainless has a 2-piece bottom metal....while the Safari Express stock is inletted for a 1-piece bottom metal. I was told I could buy a spacer for the new stock to accommodate my 2-piece.
Is this it?
http://www.cdnninvestments.com/wistcosploac.htmlAnd if so....is that the only modification necessary for properly fitting the barreled action into the stock? Is the "long action" spacer the correct spacer to use....or is there a "magnum-length action" spacer as well?
Any other tips/advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks guys.

Duane WiebeWe make custom bottom metal for the post 64's, but mostly for a re-stocking application.

Just click on Duane's website.
The spacer from CDNN is all you need. They provided one when I bought one of their unfinished Safari stocks. A rather flimsy plastic piece that, fortunatley, I did not have to use.
