Mike375Best factory guns based on forum observations
Last night a mate of mine asked me what factory guns seemed to be associated with the greatest amount of happiness when based on forum postings.
Would be interested to hear your observation and excluding varmint based calibre/guns.
Mine would be in no particular order:
CZ especially in 375 and 416
Ruger in 416 Rigby
Savage
Remington Sendero
Weatherby Accumark

<JBelk>Mike375---
I'd put Tikka between Savage and Remington on your list.

Orion 1Sako. Half the CZs I've tried have had actions that felt rougher than a corn cob. I would not buy a CZ centerfire unless I could work its action. CRF doesn't mean much to me.

Ray, AlaskaI would put Dakota 76 on top (for a factory rifle), and for a reliable hunting DG (custom) rifle I would have to say D'Arcy Echols.

<ol crip>For my bread and butter working factory rifles my heart says;
Remington
Mauser 98
Weatherby
Winchester.
But then I'm being realistic with my beer budget and not catering to my champagne desires.
