MarkRe: rebarreling a 700 adl
You should just be able to screw the barrel on, once headspace is set, and go from there. If you index the barrels with a mark and have your own wrenches you can even switch them back and forth.

blakerothThis is probaly a dumb question but im not to knowledgable on these things i got a rem. 700 adl 270 win camo and i was wanting to rebarell it would i need to switch actions to if i changed to perhaps a 25-06 or 243 SRC?

vapodogI'd stick to cartridges such as those based on the .30-06 cartridge and avoid the shorter .308 Winchester based cartridges for purposes of feeding. .
You should be fully capable of rebarreling to .240 Weatherby, .25-06, 6.5-06, .280 Rem, 30-06, 338-06, or .35 whelen, with no modification to the action.
