Polishing chambers and dies
What do you guys recommend for polishing machining marks out of rifle chambers and reloading dies?

Thanks for your help.

First, if there are machining markes in a chamber, you should return it. Now let me say, I'm refering to significant marks on the cases after firing. Slight marks do no harm. But if you can feel the mark/scratch with youre fingernail, it's too much.

Second, there should be no marks inside a die. If you can see marks in a die, return it. Or if they are making marks on the cases, and you are sure the die is clean, return it.

Nothing is out of spec. I've had some of these dies for a while and the one rifle is used. I just want to polish the dies especially. Something to do on a winter evening. Any suggestions as to methods? Thanks.

I doubt if you can do much polishing on your dies, as they are heat treated, and VERY hard.

A little FLITZ on a patch wrapped around a bore bore brush in an electric drill will usually clean them a bit though.

Same with your rifle's chamber, if it needs more than FLITZ, sent it back where it came from.

Thanks!,
Flitz is what I was trying to remember.
