I sense you don't like Mausers.

Do you think that designers make a action
that will stand 50,000 psi and blow at 60,000.
The Springfield 03 is a small ring Mauser.
They added metal over the extractor where the
metal is thin on a Mauser small ring.
It,s amazing how some people will pontificate
with no information.

If you are referring to me as a pontificator, then here is your answer; 96 actions have a thin case and a soft core; they won't blow at 60 psi, as the gentleman from Sweden has proven. The issue is the lug recesses can set back over time, at high pressures. The Springfield, OTOH, is case hardened deeper (sometimes too deep but that is another story), and won't set back.
If it wasn't me to whom you referred, then ignore this.
