Trigger Creep on my Howa
I own a 30-06 Howa 1500. It has had a little trigger creep to it since I bought it new a year ago. I thought that throug use the trigger would become more crisp.

Any suggestions that you folks might have as to how I can remedy this problem would be of great help.

Thanks.

Buy a Timney trigger for it. They just began making them for Howas.

DeeSr,

Fortunately for us gunsmiths, triggers don't generally get better with use. The creep in the Howa trigger is adjusted by the trigger adjustment screw at the back of the trigger. This screw sets the sear engagement and is factory sealed.

CAUTION: By breaking this seal in an attempt to remove the creep, the liability falls directly to YOU for ANY problem that may occur in the future. I would recommend that unless you are familiar with this type of work, that you take it to a gunsmith who can perform this service and who can test the weapons safety after the adjustment is made.

Good luck,

Malm
