I'm thinking on adding ebony tips on several Winchester M70's
I'm thinking on adding ebony tips on several Winchester M70's.
Also afterwards a nice gloss epoxy finish.
Any input?

Not sure about the epoxy finsih. Just make sure you deoil the ebony before you go to clue it on. Don't forget to install a dowell

I've had good luck with plain old shellac as an under coat/sealer and acraglas to glue it on.

I two 1/4" dowels into 5/16" holes with enough black-dyed Acra-Glas gel to fill the gaps.
