Action length Weatherby MK V?
Are there diffent actions lengths in the MK V series? I may build a 300 RUM for a guy and he have a 7 mm Rem Mag in a Wea. MK V and I´m not familiar with the Weatherbys. Will a 300 RUM fit the 7 RM mag?

Stefan, if the bolt has three rows of locking lugs (total of 9 lugs), it is the full size MkV action, and a RUM will fit. There is shorter version of the same action (called??), but on this the bolt only has two rows of lugs (total of 6).

I believe you should be able to build the 300 RUM from the 7mm RM action,if I'm correct all the Mark V actions are the same lenght because I can take my .257 WM bolt and install it in my .378 WM and the bolt will lock and close.
