Gringo CazadorMike Kokolus Does have a website
Just got off the phone with Mike about turning me Mauser pattern. He is a nice guy and he does dang good work.
Anyway, was cutting up with Mike about an email he got from one of the AR guys, something I said about him saying websites being for guys that didnt have anything to do and he said.........I have a web site. I had no clue and have told other in the past he didnt have one. Not a bad site either, fair amount of info.

22WRFI wish he would put up photos of his patterns.

DeBeeMike! Welcome to the 21st century!

I, too, wish he would post some pics of his most basic patterns or at least his favorites or perhaps the most popular... WITH NAMES Mike

Now that he's gone big time, probably won't have time for me

M1TankerHow nice is his inletting? I knowit has to be better than RMF and GAG. I am going to need a couple stocks done when I get back and he may be the one to go to. I wonder if he has a nice pattern for a M70 Classic Featherweight.

max(hm2)bill,
i have been using him for years. found him when he lived in new tripoli. i've sent him my pattern with a blank and got it back that only the sqare corners had to be cut and a little scraping to get the metal in.

PoleaxM1Tanker,
I don't think he is the email type.
M1Tanker,
Howdy.
I spoke to Mike last week about my current Manlicher project. He's sending me a pic of his pattern stock.
Eventually I 'll be sending him that other pattern you were interested in. If you can't get an email to him just email me and I'll ask him your questions when I speak to him next.

Are you sure you want to go with Mike? He looks like he does an awful lot of measuring and pays an awful lot of attention to those “silly unecessary†details that blue collar guys just don’t really need on a hunting rifle!

Just teasing a bit...sorry couldn’t pass that up!

Tex,
Try again, nothing came through. Is that new internet service still giving you troubles?

No problem. By the way, you wouldn't know where I could get a glass bead and rust blue for around $50 total would ya?

I'm in the middle of a project now were the original pattern was cut by Mr Kokolus and then modified a little by me to be re-cut. His patterns are very usable but they are
rough turned. They need a lot of fitting and shaping. I'm not knocking the man or his product, just FYI they aren't the type of stocks you hit with a little light sanding and throw the finish to.

Sure do. Since you’ve already voiced your opinion on what constitutes quality and what is necessary and what is just a rip off...send me that sucker. I’ve got some old beer bottles I could break up for the peening and I can piss on it to make it rust!

So I’ll drink a bunch of grape juice first. Anyway 22WRF doesn’t care about them little things on a hunting rifle...hell, it’ll blend in better with the bushes!
