<Eric>AK help
Darn,
Nothing "chaps my hide" more than having to ask for help, but here it goes. I have an AK clone, Egyptian reciever, chinese parts, that had a feeding problem. Fixed the feeding problem, however. During the test fire, I noticed that the trigger beat the crap out of my finger! I mean it made both my index fingers numb, as I switched sides, thinking that I was just getting old.
I'm afraid that I'm at a loss as to what may be the problem. I've been trying to hook up with any of the original manufactures of the real thing, so far no luck. Do any of you guys have a direction, address, clue, or something to help me?
thanks.
Eric

SamBWhat you're describing is called "trigger slap" and is fairly common with the AK.
Here is a page with good instructions on fixing AK trigger slap,
http://blackrifle.gunsnet.net/triggerslap.htm .
Another option is to replace the fire control group with one of the new adjustable trigger units (available at
http://www.midwayusa.com ). This may be overkill for a plinker.
Good luck!

<Eric>SamB,
Thanks dude. I know about "trigger slap," just wasn't sure what to "screw with." Good pictures, good advice.
Thanks again Bud.

Eric
