Last look at Pierce rifle-photos
This is the last of the photos that I will take before sending it to James Anderson,Gunmaker, for stocking. It will go in a piece of walnut from Roger Vardy with a checkered buttplate with a trap door and a checkered grip cap.

I would like to thank the people that have helped me with this project.
James Anderson, Jay Lynn Gore, Dan Armstrong, Jim Kobe and TC1 for his moral support.

A very nice project. I especially like the taper of your octagon barrel.

Beautiful work, m' brother. Do you have any pics of the blank that you're using for this build?

Brian,
I have never seen it. Only a photo.

A piece of wood means nothing to me until it is finished. I traded for this blank knowing that it had flaws.

Very nice job on the metal and I realy like the color of the stock blank. I can't wait to see the finished rifle.

What's the next big project?

Did you end up with the EE's you were looking at?

Hal,
The lady is at one of her ranches aand I don't know when she will be back. I have a banner mauser in 9.3x62 that is almost ready for wood. I bought a piece of wood a couple years ago from Bill Soverns and Jim Kobe is waiting on it. My Hyper Single in 257 Roberts is at the stocker now. I'm hoping to get the under lever redone also and rust blue. Hopefully it will be done by late summer. I am building my 10 yr. old Grandson a Mod 600 Remington in 6X47 Lapua.
Most of the guys on the forum don't like glass stock rifles and they aren't my favorite either, but that is what this one will be.

Very nice Butch. What kind of extraction system will this incoporate? I love the metal work so far and can't wait to see the finished rifle.

Unfortunately it is a Sako extractor. Some of the custom guys are going to the M-16 extractors.
