ruger compact and 77 Mk II SA stocks
2 of my sons are hunting with ruger compacts, one in 308 Win. and the other in 7MM08. I am considering one in 260 rem. but I don't care for the shorter stock dimensions. Will the standard 77 Mk II SA stock fit the compact?
My thought is to restock with a McMillan or Bell and Carlson composite to keep the weight down and still give me full size stock dimensions.
I currently hunt with a Model 7 in 260 Rem. but would like a shorter barrel than the current 20".
