Milliron?

I really really like this stock.. Anyone have a Milliron stocked rifle.

I recently had an e-mail from someone who knows Earl very well and he passed on the fact that Jack O'Connor had nine rifles stocked by him during his lifetime.

Educate me please. If I wanted to get a stock blank in the same wood - what would I call it?
Is it just mineral steaked walnut?

I'd call it medium honey quartersawn english with dark mineral streaks.

That Burgess/Milliron rifle is a beauty and a piece of American custom gunmaking history.

What Forrest said. I have a similar blank hanging in my shop that I procured from the Dressel's. There's plenty of similar wood to be had from any of the wood dealers out there.
