Trigger pull on a Rem 552
Is there anyway to lighten the trigger pull on a Remington 552? I cleaned the assembly put it will still make out my pull guage at over 10#.

Same trigger as the 870's. You need to reduce the grip angle of the sear and the hammer. Reduce the angle on the hammer rather than the sear.

Turn your right hand palm up, and your left hand palm down. Lock your fingers and pull. Now while pulling, relax the fingers on the left hand (reducing the grip angle) and you will see what needs to be done. It doesn't take much of a change. A little bit at a time and test. Good luck!

clap Well thanks for the thought. I was just sitting at the table looking at it and figured that would be the direction I would take. Yep always slooooooow. Sure a lot easier to take it off than try and put it back on.
