Michael RobinsonCan giving $175,000 for a rifle be a great bargain?
After watching this, I think so.
If you haven't watched this on the faster speed, you really should. You will have to download their "video optimiser" but it's well worth it.
Thanks for posting this.

mehulkamdar577NitroExpress,
All I did was copy the link from the Indians For Guns forum and post it. Am glad that you liked it and posted it here for more people to enjoy. I have bookmarked the site and am hoping that they would do features on other gunmakers in the future.
Good hunting, gentlemen!

Stu CExcellent. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
In a similar vein there is a Slide Show of Purdey's work linked from this
Business Week article.
Last year someone here also posted a link to a video of an interview with Richard Purdey. I don't know if it is still being hosted somewhere. I managed to download it at the time.
cheers,

congomikeI watched twice in a row............absolutely fascinating. I do have a question though...everything I have read says that when sighting in a double rifle you should not let the fore end touch the rest, but rather hold it in your hand and let your hand touch the rest. In the video, when the gentleman was sighting in the 470 double, he rested the fore end directly on the rest.....does it really make that much difference how you do it?

& you can bet that is the way he has done it a thousand times before & that is the correct way.

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.
Captivating. The positive "clunk" of the action closing and the perfect ejector timing is the stuff of legend.

DavidCAfter watching this video about 10 times

I contacted 'Horse and Country tv' to see if a copy was available for download and or purchase.
They told me that the video on demand service should go live when the channel launches in July. At that time the videos will likely be available for purchase.
I hope Holland & Holland is just the first in a series covering the great British Gun Houses.

Dave

DavidC577NitroExpress,
Thanks for the link!

I missed that thread...
Have you seen the DVD yet? It looks like a real winner!
Have any of the other British Gun Houses made similar DVD offerings?
Thanks again.
Best Regards,
Dave

577NitroExpressDavid:
I have not seen the video in question, but from what I have heard from others, it is similar to the "teaser" on the other website, but much more detailed.
And yes, it looks WONDERFUL!
I am not familiar with any other Brit DR houses making a DVD. But if one exists, I GUARANTEE you a AR member will know about it.
