elk hunterRuger Mini 14
I have a Ruger Mini 14 that the trigger assembly and clip falls out of when you fire it.
The trigger group appears to be held in very solidly until you shoot, then the trigger group and the clip drop out and hit the ground, but not before it chambers a fresh round. Needless to say it is not a very reliable repeater in this condition.
I've looked at it several times but, have not been able figure out why this occures.
Any ideas???

Its been years since I've owned a mini-14, but if I recall correctly the trigger guard "unhinges" or rather, unlatches at the rear. With the trigger guard unlatched, it swings forward and down and you can then remove the trigger group. So, make sure the trigger guard is securely latching at the rear attachment point.
Again, I am going on memory and it may be faulty!
