John Rigby & Co.1911 Gunsmith Recommendations Sought
I have a Colt Commander (.45 ACP) that my Dad traded for in the 1980's. I've been shooting it ever since.
It is very accurate, but I'm afraid it needs a good once over by a competent smith. The frame is from a 1932 .38 Super (boy do I wish it was all original!). At some point, probably in the 50's or 60's it went back to Colt and now has a Commander slide.
I want somebody that knows what they are doing to disassemble, clean, polish and/or replace any worn parts or weak springs.
Recommendations, thoughts or suggestions accepted.

ScrollcutterYou might want to give John Farner a call. He posts on AR as toomanytools. He's known to do fine work on 1911's.
