Just had my 541 rebarreled.We fired it once at the gunsmith's house and came home.Got it out yesterday and it snapped on me, so I tried it again and it fired but hasn't fired sence.The firing pin is barely making a mark on the bullet and sometimes not at all. What could it be? Can't call my gunsmith because he is on a 4 week hunting trip.

I'd wait on your gunsmith. If you mes around with it he might not want to fix it. If he made a mistake he should fix it..

It sounds like the barrel is not set back far enough into the action for the firing pin to engage the rimfire round properly. Wait until your gunsmith returns and he should set it back a couple of thousandths for you.
