Dangerous Davestock maker
Can someone suggest a good stock maker.
If your parents didn't have any children chances are you won't either.

butchlambertYou would have to go a long way to beat David Christman. Look at the 2007 ACGG matched pair that he did. I can e-mail photos of my stock to you. I believe that he is lesser expensive than most really talented stockmakers.

Marc_StokeldI can personally attest to the high quality work of Chic or David mentioned above, as well as Toby Leeds (
link to Toby) who ocassionally posts here.
I guess one thing to ask is what exactly are you planning? Different folks are often better at different type projects.
Good luck on your project!!!

I only had John do some checkering for me. It was first class. I had attempted to reach him through Tip and after talking to Tip I just called John directly. Here is his checkering on a stock I had to make a serious repair. Don't hold my work against John.
I've also had Jim Kobe do checkering it was his usual full wrap. It was first class. Haven't got it together yet.
As usual just my $.02
