The ammo shown on another page seems more like the 300 win mag in size.
It's sure one spectacular gun however and I'm not sure who makes competiitve actions to this one.
Probably way beyond my budget I suspect...

go back and take another look at that page. I believe it is an intermediate action. It indicates it's a "300 WSM mit einem original Mauser Intermediat-System."
I agree that's one nice looking piece of work.

Tex21Depending on what you're planning on doing, the Yugoslavian M48 action is an intermediate length M98 and is post war production. It'll require quite a bit of work to slick up and make a custom out of, but they're readily available and still moderately cheap.

HunterJimI bought one from an AR member: it is a rifle built by Heym in July, 1963. Not new production, but not 100 years old either. Intermediate length action, full C-Ring, no thumb cut, marked Western Field Model 720 for sale in the US.
There are others out there if you want to go hunting for one.
