Bedding ... how do you know?
Guys,

When you've bedded a rifle, how do you know if it needs some pressure on the end of the barrel at the end of the forearm?

Have one that is stringing pretty much vertically ... that an indication?

Thanks!

Maybe. It can also ocurr if the action is on a bind. Force a couple of business cards between the barrel and forearm and see if the groups stabilize. You can also quickly check for a bind by loosening the front guard screw and seeing if the barrel and action move.

Vertical stringing is usually (IMHO) an indication of a bedding problem. Malm is spot on though, try the business card trick and see if it helps
