<Mato Hunter>Model 70 safety for a Sako
Does anyone have information about a model 70 type safety that will fit a Sako L57 action. The Sako safety is broken, replacement not available plus the Win. model 70 or Dakota type is much prefered. Brownells says it is not available through them, due to the many different thread options Sako has used over the years of production. Help is appreciated.

<JOHAN>Mato Hunter
I have seen a sako with a win type safety. I would contact either PME or Blackburn. I'm quite sure they have something for you.

<JBelk>Jim is right--
Ed LaPour bought the tooling and fixtures for the PME safety for the Sako and a couple other models. It's a GOOD unit.
It HAS to be fitted. It's NOT a DIY project.
