Big Wonderful WyomingHow are the Nissan Armada's from the past 2012-2015 years?
We are looking for a 4x4 people mover, and after testing out a GMC and Ford I am pretty disgusted. The Toyota is great, but I can't find one that isn't burgandy or some other horrible color. That and the prices on them are a bit steep.

GatogordoWe own a 2011 Nissan Armada Platinum. Basically the same for all the model years you mentioned. Ours has about 130K miles on it with zero problems.
Nice car, doesn't handle all that great IMO (like most Suvs), has very good acceleration with the standard V8, very easy to be running 90-95 without paying attention to speedometer. Great leg room in back seat, best on market AFAIK.
The bad: Major Gas Hog, probably averages 15 mpg, 17-18 when on highway. You will make friends with gas stations.
We are in market for new car for wife, probably going to downsize a bit since kids are out of house or have own car now. Considering Hyundai Santa Fe or Kia. Looking at blue book our car is worth 10-12 K, for that price, I think we'll keep it as a back up. But if I could find one in the price range I'd think it would be a good buy if well maintained and the gas mileage was not a major concern.

Big Wonderful WyomingThanks!
Kids are in car seats or married and there are 3 in car seats. Need 4x4, need lots of room for kid junk, and need something safe if the tribe gets wiped out by an idiot.
Would love a Toyota Sequioia but they are either warn out or an ugly color.
So we will start looking for a Armada. Thanks again!

Patricio GaudianoThe xenon headlights in the armada used to melt the housings, so look at that on any used one you buy.
Other than that they drive great, and in general are pretty reliable

GatogordoI don't claim extensive knowledge about different years of Armadas, but AFAIK, they do not come equipped with xenon headlights in the states. Our 2011 doesn't have them.

Patricio GaudianoGato, I dont know what years they had them or didnt have them, or if they were an option....
But I had one and saw several others (we owned nissan dealerships) that melted the housings.
