Yours is prettier.
Mine was blue with a 12,000 # winch on front.
My ex sold it while I was gone on a trip--
"It was an eye-sore"-----

shakariIf you think about it, they introduced the first luxury 4x4 complete with air con & cruise control etc bloody years before Range Rover did and yet it was RR that got all the credit.

Steve LathamNice to hear the story, I know that feeling you had well when you first saw it! It's called terminal Landroveritis

, Looks like a UK plate, Wonder who owned her? I ran one once with a Leyland terrier engine in, just had go easy on the loud pedal for fear of the half shafts, but what a beach recovery truck she was!

Steve.

ChrisTroskieWell, this project ended up taking a little longer than what was anticipated but Brandy the Landy is finally operational...
It is said the only Landrover that doesn't leak oil is one without any oil in it... This one is no exception but boy, can it climb mountains!
And what is a little oil between friends...?

That is awesome! There is a forum I frequent with a bunch of Land Rover junkies on it called Expedition Portal. Check it out and show Brandy off

crsheltonChris,
Great job.
I will trade you a ride in my restored Alpine when you are in the states(Texas) for a ride in Brandy next time I get to RSA.

I had an Australian SIII tray back with a petrol 2.6litre 6cyl and 5 main bearings. It is the only 4x4 that could have 3 things broken on it at any one time and still 'proceed'.
What a transformation Chris ! Well done.
