SaeedThey have these around here.
Including a wooden elephant!
I will try getting a picture and posting it.
Had a bit of fun today.
We planned to have lunch in a restaurant roughly a kilometer away on the mountain.
Steep walk up there or one can ski down to it.
Hessa was going to Lausanne for the day, taking the train.
I walked her down to the center.
Someone told me there is a shortcut up to the restaurant from the village.
Off I went.
Met a lady just as I was starting on this shortcut, she was going the other way.
She told me to go back, and take the long track up, as it is longer but much easier.
I did not listen.
I thought I will continue on the shortcut.
Up into the forest I went.
The track was getting steeper and steeper.
Then it started getting very narrow - one barely has space to put his foot down.
And it was icy!
Hands and knees now.
Went up this way for a bit, then the ice got worse!
I gave up, and walked and slid down.
Back to where I started.
Ended up doing almost 4 kilometers!
When the brain is dead, the body suffers!
Lunch was good though

SaeedThe weather has been fantastic!
Had snow most of last night, but cleared up.
Our last day here today, as we are heading back to Dubai later today.
Had a fantastic few days of change.

Kolo-PanOn automatic cameras the auto meter will tell the camera to expose as though the scene is middle gray. So when you are shooting things like snow and dark areas the meter will tend to tell the camera to either overexpose or underexpose. Make sure you read the destructions about how you can control that problem. In regular silver photography one can use the zone system to take care of it. But with an automatic camera you have to figure out what controls your camera has to use so you don't expose too much or too little in real right and real dark conditions when you are in autoexposure.
