I came upon this picture of one of my boys taken a few years ago. Made me smile. He was so impressed of the fact that he hit and killed a squirrel that I had to take a picture , a special one....

Makes me remember my children's first stalk and kill however your son looks as if he got a man eater.

He maintained at the time that " the squirrel charged me ! "

too many hunting stories around the camp fire will do this to a 6 year old

was it a bull or cow squirrel?? i am assuming a bull because of body size. congrats to the hunter for standing his ground

Yesterday I took my 15 year old boy to the back paddock and he shot a rabbit with the .22 Brno.

He decided to skin it and he found a .177 pellet from one of his earlier forays! The pellet was under the skin but had not penetrated. No bruise or blood spots. And the pellet was good enough to reuse!

Good to see kids out hunting etc.
This is typical of the majority of hunting pics it seems. Shooter standing way back behind and camera up close so the actual size is distorted to beat H.
