Should get nice views.

fairgameBeautifully crisp images. What camera and lens are you using these days?

SaeedFunny you ask this Andrew, as we have been discussing the subject of cameras a while back here.
The first lot were taken with a Sony RX10 Mark3.
These are very clear.
The last lot were actually screen grabs from a video I took while flying in a helicopter.
The flight was quite shaky, and I had to be careful what frame I extract from the video.
I wanted a video of our flight.
But, I think next time I will use a camera for stills.
I have a whole bunch of cameras I can use.
The main spec would be a good image stabilizer.
I have quite a few photos to post, which I will do in the next day or two.
Cameras used are: Sony RX10M4, SONY HX99, SONY A7S2, SONY AX700 video camera.
The kids all have GoPro Hero Black 7.
We are getting hilarious videos from some of the boys.
One has a knack of turning his camera on when it should be off. And off when it should be on.
A sort of Walter in desguise!

SaeedWe leave for home tomorrow, so I thought I will make one last trip up the mountains.
Down in the village it is snowing, and relatively calm.
There 5 lifts of one sort or another one needs take to get to the top.
First lift was fine.
Second kept getting stuck and stopped every few minutes.
Eventually we got to our destination.
Next is a large cabine.
No problems at the start. As we got higher it got windy.
Made it to the next station.
Next one is a smaller cabine.
Wind blowing harder, and temperature is getting unbearably cold.
My gloves are supposed to be good for minus 18 degrees.
They do not feel it.
My nose feels numb.
My head and ears are covered in a hat and a balaclava.
Got to the top.
Very windy.
Had to get my gloves off to take a few quick pictures.
Fingers are frozen dead, no feeling any more.
Ran into the coffee shop, got a mug of coffee, and wrapped by hands around it, sitting next to the blowing heater!
Fin9shed my coffee, and I thought I will try my luck at picture taking again.
This adventure lasted about 3 minutes.
I saw the cabine coming up, so packed my things and ran to meat it.
My feet are frozen.
My toes are dead.
Several people seem to have felt the same, as several joined me on the way down.
Normally I am the only one in the cabine going down!
No more First Class Alpine Cabine.
Cattle class again!
Made it all the way back to our chalet, and first order is to get warmed up!
I have more photos, and videos.
I will post here in the next few days.

jens poulsenThanks for sharing Saeed.
Lovely pictures. Is It your P1000?..
I know the area. Been through there when going to St. Moritz when on visits with my swiss family. Its get cold in the alps and I only go up there in the wintertime to make pictures. I prefer the summertime. Green slopes, go hiking and find a place to bask in the sun. Eat home made bread, swiss cheese, pastrami and Coca Cola.

SaeedI did take a P1000 but I am afraid I used it very little, as it requires a steady tripod, and I did not have one.
The moon picture was with it, and I was resting the camera on a wooden post.
I have more photos to post as time permits.
Glad you all are enjoying them.
Lots of the photos are actually screen grabs from a video I took while flying in a helicopter.

carpetman1Great photography. I bet the refrigerated rental truck does a booming business. Looks like refrigeration would be must have.
