packrattusnongratusGrand Dogger to Doggy Heaven
Lost my granddogger last night. Called Smiley, she was a tricolor Australian Shepherd mix. Looked entirely Aussie except for her short basset hound legs. Always friendly with the guys on the home building jobsites where my son works, she was his almost constant companion. She went out on the highway for some reason. Whole family is in an uproar. Son was an SOC Marine. Not much slows him down but this will be a tough one. Would appreciate your thoughts. Packy

Bill/OregonYou've sure got mine, friend. I believe we connect with good dogs in ways we never do with humans. If God loves me half as much as I have loved my dogs, I have nothing to worry about.
Oh, and William Baden Powell, Eagle Scout

raamwI am a dog person and I truly understand the grief that follows the lost of a close canine companion, but remember it was a better life to have shared than never to have.
I'm so sorry for the loss your family is suffering. They are so hard to loose and are never forgotten.
