Dogs name!
Hey Guys,

This is a corny one, but just wanted to hear from you guys whats a good name to call my newly aquired Jack Russel cross something! Want a different name, not Spot ot patches or boring, something different!

He's my tracking dog to be, as my previous hound, DUTCH was poked by a wounded oryx and unfortunately his front left leg was amputated, not that he is out of action, just a bit slower now.

I reckon Mauser or Ruger are pretty cool names, what do you guys suggest?

Neighbor across the street had a Jack Daniels -- (sic). I call them Jack Daniels Terriers.

Anyway, she'd named the dog "Brie" -- like the French cheese. Sort of frou-frou for a Jack Daniels.

The dog loved to chase my laser pointer up and down the street. I ran the pointer across the side of a dusty car parked on the street and the dog bit at it, leaving lip slobber marks along the side of the car.

So I started calling the dog "Scooter" -- because he does. Not only that, he answers to "Scooter." And the neighbor's little girl starts calling him Scooter.

The name stuck. Every Jack Daniels I see I call Scooter, because they do.

Hard to go wrong with "Jack" . . .

Pioho

A spanish speaking person bought a puppy from us and named him "Pioho"

I do not know what it means, but it IS different. Kind of sounds more appropriate for a Jack Russell Terrier mix than a pure bred bird dog.

The ONLY name I'd consider for a JR (or JR cross) is "Target" (and it would only be a matter of time before it became one)

My last lab was named Rigby, my current Small Munsterlander is Boss and the coming SM female pup will be named Purdey. How about "Tiny" for a JR?

How about P.I.T.A read between the lines ( For those that have trouble reading heres a hint Pain In The A#@ My lab know two names this one and BOH he knows the difference PITA when I am mad at him and BOH when he's good. I never go out, or to bed etc w/o making up with him.
I couldn't live w/o Boh. At 73 he is a constant companion. He goes with me every where I go. He is such a gentle dog. I often wondered if he would protect me, Well I went to the farm and the farmer knocked on the window I never seen him so aggressive. I believe if the window was down I think he would have jumped right out at him. But all the farmer had to do was say his name and he reverted back to a puusy cat. This is the first time i have seeen this in him. I can leave him in the car and he'll just lay in ther car till I return. I believe he reacted cause I was in the car with him. Lou

For a Jack Russel, how about "Spaz."

"Dammit" would also be a good one, depending on how well he listens.

My wife bought me a Welsh Terrier pup for my birthday. His name is Tonka. We also have a two year old Black Lab whose name is Lizzie, though I sometimes think she should be called Dizzy.
