Even a mild mannered golden can be tough when the chips are down and it's people are in danger. God surely has a place in heaven for dogs.

Aspen Hill Adventures

As a little girl my golden saved me from two loose dogs running through the woods I was hiking through. Both of these dogs were running straight for me growling and snapping, snarling and the woods I was in was a mature stand, no low branches which meant no escape by climbing a tree.

My dog ran past me and slammed full force into the two other dogs and fought them both until they ran away. So yep, even a laid back breed like a golden retreiver can step up to the plate when necessary!
