My grandaughters have a miniture schnauzer that lays on its back & holds toys in the air by its front paws to play with/bit them. Anyone ever seen this before with these dogs?

I have two Giant Schnauzers that did that when they were puppies. They still lay on their back, but don't hold anything anymore.

I have owned 2 who would sleep lying on their backs, but not juggle toys on their backs. My favorite breed.

I am more than devoted to my lab or labradors as a breed but the schnauzers my family have owned over the years seem slightly more human than chimps.
