Anyone hunt Irish Setters anymore?
I have a picture in my man cave of my grandfather's Irish Setter on point with his "handler" Ol' Joe, which I'm sure for all practical purposes was the dog's real owner and master. I'm not at all sure, but the picture is probably from the mid-1920s. Ol' Joe is holding a Rem 11 or Browning and is looking at the camera like "would you're dumb white ass put that camera down and hunt?" The dog is absolutely beautiful, even though the picture is black and white. So I was just wondering if there are any true Irish Setter hunting lines left in the U.S. or all they all show dogs now?
