MHC_TXSad day
We lost our black Lab "Tar" last Thursday. Even though he lived a full life (almost 14 years old) it sure was hard. We sure miss his little personality - it's amazing how they become such a big part of the family. Fortunatley, we have lot's of good memories and pictures.

Charles_HelmI am sorry to hear of your loss. It is always hard to lose a family member.

Mary Hilliard-KruegerSo sorry for the loss of your beloved "Tar". Pets are such an important part of our lives. I hope the pain of his absence soon eases and the void is filled with nothing but smiles from his loving memory.
Kind regards,
Mary

mstarlingMost sincere condolences for your loss. It takes a while to get beyond when you lose a member of the family. Sure isn't easy.

577NitroExpressI lost my 12 year old "pup" in Febraury to an unknown bowel tumor.
So sorry for your loss. Time heals all, but to this day I swear I hear my bud and see him out of the corner of my eye - I know he is in a better place.
Like Will Rogers said, "If dogs don't go to heaven, than I don't want to go there; I want to go where they go."
From a proud dog owner, I say, "AMEN TO THAT!"

dsitemanWhile living in Alaska, local native peoples would tell the story that God created a huge schism and all the animals jumped to side opposite of man to be forever separated, but at the last moment before becoming impossible to pass over, the dog jumped back over to be with man. I have lost a few and still have two wonderful companions, but no more. Can't stand the pain of loss and will just re-live the fond memories of those in the past when these two go.

homebrewerAll our animals eventually die, as will we. What is so wonderful about an animal is that he can be replaced and he will love and serve you just like the previous friend from Day One. He will not know that he is a replacement-- it doesn't matter to him. He is there to serve you, and he rejoices in it.

Frank BellerI, too, am so sorry to hear of your loss ..... I also believe like 577NitroExpress - I want to go where my dogs go - and I'm sure GOD loves dogs too, so I think I know where they will be. Again, sorry for your loss. I've come to judge a man by how he treats his animals .......

Larry MatherneI made a post today (hogs forum) about a dog that was lost during a hunt and how that effected me. Certainly the lost you described is akin to losing a member of your family. I too wish to express my sadness for your lost. I'm sure better days are ahead for you and yours.

Bigbird34I am also sorry for your loss....it's never easy, and I can't add anything to the list of condolences, except this is a rough road that all dog owners go through .....but remember the good days ....and look at the great home you gave your furbaby for 14 years ....you got a big heart ! Good Luck BB34
You have my condolences, it is hard to let them go. I posted of the lost of my Weimi two months ago, what I didn't post is I had to have his playmate Reba, a GSP, put down less than a week later because of her hips. She seemed to just givc up once her buddy was gone. It is hard to think that they may be better off, but when they no longer suffer, they have to be.
