Don FischerPointing dog photo's
I've never put any on here. Love taking them so think I'll post a few.
My Bodie
My old Tieh, gone but never forgotten.
My Squirt
Britt casting off at a walking field trial this past spring.
Shorthair at a trial last fall.
Another one, same trial.
Kinda special. dog winning the All Age last spring returning the retrieved bird back to it owner/handler. Horseback stake. owner/handler is 83 yrs old. There is hope for us old duffer's! That dog won a field championship with this retrieve.
Best Gordon I ever saw.

mdstewartI've been hunting, breeding, and training Gordons since 1983. I've also owned or trained almost all the other major pointing breeds.
IMO, the Gordon makes the very best personal hunting dog of all the pointing breeds, and they are definitely much calmer and make the best of house/family dogs. Too much prejudice in the field trials for Gordons to be overly successful and the money doesn't follow the Gordons. Plus the gene pool is much smaller and much smaller total number in the breed.
Back when I ran a hunting preserve, we ran 8 Gordons, and customers always loved the elegance and efficiency of our Gordons.
I'm down to 3 now, and all three are lying in the floor around me as I write this. Loving companions, and outstanding hunters.
