My Doberman named Mandevu is the most loyal friend. He follows me like shadow and hates not being by my side. Any 1 else with a Dobbey ?

We had a big 90 pound dobbie years ago that I found roaming as a 10 month old pup. We named him Fred and kept him because we couldnt find the owner. He was a big friendly goofy dog and wouldnt hurt a flee. Hes ears were done but one was floppy. I remember a couple of the stupid neighbor women were scared to death of him just becuase he was a "doberman!".

Best dog I ever had was a red Doberman female from what, at the time, was the best kennel on this continent. Fabulous dog, loyal, smart, excellent conformation, rock solid dependable and always wanted to be right beside us. She kind of ruined me for any other dog though! I'd get another one in a minute if I could get the same quality of dog.
My wife is not a dog person, but adored her as well which says it all. There were a couple situations where my wife was alone and uncomfortable, the dog was right beside her both times to take care of the situation.

I had a red 95# male. He was an exceptional companion. Well trained with excellent instincts.

Truly an once in a lifetime, if you are lucky, pup. I still often think of the little guy.

Now I hunt and have drahthaars.

I grew up with Dobbies.

Had a Black male first, Blue.

Had a Red male second, Buddy, who was the best Dobbie I ever had. The neighborhood kids would knock on the door and ask if he could come out and play with them - he was a gentle giant.

Then there was Beau, another Red male - a complete retard.
