It was time.... NFC Rev
First, I was lucky. I got a hold of a hot rod pup that just changed the way I thought of dogs. He was a fearless bird finding machine that was made the toughest retreives look easy, and that was before he was a year old. He was a handful, but it was a blast. That was 13 years ago.

In the year 2000, he was high point puppy in the U.S. in AKC field trials. He also won an Open All Age trial, placed in an Amateur stake, and ran in two Nationals, all before he turned two. What a first field trial dog.

He became a NFC when he won the National Open in 2003. Inhaling a grass awn cut his competitive career short, but he was still a hell of a hunter. If my boy Rev couldn't find 'um, no one else could either.

Today we had to call the game. He was two months short of 14 years old. He was no longer able to take stairs, and was becomming questionable if he could get up after he tipped over. He was a tough S.O.B. fight to the end.

Here's a pick a couple years ago, happy and muddy.

Here's to the field trial competitor, hunting buddy, house dog and family member. You will be missed.

RIP

sorry for your loss. Hope you got a pup off of him. He sounds like the kind that should have made more.
