GhubertIf i'm using good brass (Norma, Lapua, RWS so far) I don't bother with case prep past sizing, trimming and chamfering.
With cheaper brass (Privi, Remmington, Winchester, IMI so far) respond to weight batching, flashhole de-burring in addition to the above.
I tend not to uniform primer pockets, if the cases need it, ie seat primer at varying heights when seated by hand to gauge feel, I tend to give the brass away or load it up for a mate who just hunts.
I neck size using the Lee tool until the cases need FL sizing, depends on how hot they're loaded, and then use a redding body die with the expander ball removed.
I ultrasonically clean the cases briefly first to get the worst of the dirt off, and especially in the primer pocket, and polish in the tumbler until lovely and shiny!

I don't differentiate in the prep routine for my hunting and target rifles, unless i'm in a hurry, 'cos I loves my rifles and shooting little groups with them.

rcamugliaI do everything but weight sort.
I watched a video that amann posted by a benchrest shooter. He said weight sorting even for benchrest had no affect on group size. He said that making sure all of the cases were trimmed exact was a much bigger concern and he and a fellow competitor had proved it.
Conversely, my gunsmith says he loads his ammo "like a shotgun shell". He does absolutely no prep except trimming when necessary and his guns shoot as good as mine....
I bet it makes very little difference unless you need one-hole accuracy at 200 and have a rifle that can do it...tight neck, special chamber, 30 pounds, etc....
