Jason PSaeed- Your opinion
Being as you use many different cameras, and the fact that
father in-law has long since retired as a photographer, I need
some more camera advice (the camera you recommended several years
back worked great).
Here is what I want it for:
First: Action shots (we will use it a lot for my sons wrestling tournaments)
Second: Probably a fixed lense- something easy to use and pack around.
Thanks!

SaeedJason,
A bit more detail please.
Do you need zoom - how much.
Are you going to be taking photo indoors - low light conditions?

Indoors (sons wrestling tournament’s).
Not always great lighting, but not “bright” (gym) setting.
I will not be that far from the floor (where he is wrestling).
Probably will average a distance of 20 feet. Most often we are right next
to the mat.
With that said, zoom would not be used that often. However, on
occasion it would.
Thanks!

SaeedSony RX100 V or VI.
Good low light performance in a compact, and you might try shooting video in 4K and extract frames from it.
Quality is very good, and very easy to do with VLC.
Play the video, and hit E.
The action stops and each time you press E it goes one frame forward.
At the top video menus, you can save the frame.

I think you are the only person who can decide that after looking at the specs.
I am using the VI and like it a lot.
It is my carry camera to any indoor function, where a compact is preferred.
I use the a7sii when I can.
This one is absolutely fantastic in low light conditions.
