Any input on pros and cons of the above mentioned camcorders? I'm thinking of buying one or the other for an upcoming hunt and would appreciate any feedback.

I have just gotten the Sony CX700, and love it.

Having used Canon's before, I think you would be very happy with either.

You might wish to go to a shop that has both. Try them and buy the one that feels better to you.

If I am not mistaken, the Sony has more internal memory than the Canon - 96 GB v 64 GB.

Also, Sony offers much larger batteries.

Thanks Saeed, after having done some more research I'll be getting the Sony as it seems to have a few more features than the Canon although they both seem very good.
