Fellas, the wife is headed overseas for a few weeks for work and to play tourist. Her current camera is quite dated and unreliable. I'd like to upgrade before her trip. She's not brand loyal, but does have a couple requirements, as follows.

Relatively simple to operate (good "auto" mode)

Prefers image stabilization
Ideally, it would be red

Price range up to about $250ish
