Slide to Digital Scanner
I have decided to convert a bunch of my old slides (maybe some negatives depending on what I find) to digital soooooooo . . . .

Not going to be a high volume operation . . . I don't think.

What is the best scanner or maybe best for the money scanner out there.
Currently looking at the Kodak, but not sure how it compares to what is out there on the market.

The best one was the Nikon stand alone unit but it's no longer made and relatively expensive.

I use the nikon ES-2 unit that attaches to the macro lens. I actually point the lens to a white computer screen.

I use an Epson Perfection V700 flatbed scanner to scan films and slides (comes with all the trays needed). But the scanning software I use is VueScan Pro.

However, nowadays there all all kinds of scanners to choose from. Don't go to cheap, and choose one of the most expensive ones in here after reading the responses from buyers:
