Need a Digital Camera. What are your opinions of the Leica V Lux 1, for the non-photographer?

Kind of pricey, there were negative issues W/ the M8 and I don't know if they apply to the V Lux 1 or not. A great p&s w/ a lot of features to grow into ( and you will want to ) is a Canon G7. Dr.C

I second the G7. I own a Nikon D40X and a D200, but my G7 takes almost as good a picture as the DSLR's do. Its only drawback is that is wont capture pictures in RAW format, but unless you are going to do extensive editing on them that is not a concern.
