I'm going to purchase a new digital camera for our upcoming trip to South Africa, and am really focusing on the Nikon coolpix P90. Does anyone have any experience with this camera, and if so, what can you tell me about it?

I have not tried it myself, but seems to get good reviews in the British press.

My suggestion is to go to a shop and try it.
I have shied off Nikon coolpix cameras in the past because they were very sluggish in comparison to others.

Their SLRs, on the other hand, are the best as far as I am concerned.

When you try the camera, set it for th highest resolution, and ta several photos in succession.
